Saturation Diving Monsters & Entities
18 entities · 15 official log entries · checked 2026-08-30What hunts you
- Saturation Diving's monster log (the in-game bestiary added with the Friends and Foes update) documents 15 entities across four danger ratings: Minimal, Advised, Vorago and Unknown.
- Three more threats have no official log — The Crabs, Balor and the Holes — and are documented from player encounters.
- Movement and light are what get you caught — crouch, stay still, and think before you drop a flare.
- Monsters can be killed (there are badges for it), but avoidance is almost always the smarter fight.
Danger: Minimal
Vampire Coral
Coral with sharp spines that prick divers and absorb blood. Just walk around it.
Danger: MinimalBrineglass
A nearly invisible bacterial colony that forms ice-like, zero-traction sheets on the seafloor.
Danger: MinimalFire Worm
A narwhal-like worm with one large tooth. Easily angered — leave it alone.
Danger: MinimalSlate-Bellied Cowfish
Friendly fish that turns aggressive the moment you carry Sanguinite.
Danger: MinimalCutie Pi
A social octopus that waves at divers — until loud noise sets it off.
Danger: Advised
Glooming Crest
A bigfin-squid ambusher whose bristled tentacles drag prey to its head.
Danger: AdvisedLantern Star
A starfish with a lamppost lure that flashes green-yellow-red. At red: freeze.

Passive eel that rockets into a rage at strong light. Never drop flares near it.
Danger: AdvisedThe Hooks
Oversized fishing hooks on invisible lines that drag divers up to a decompression death.
Danger: Vorago
Grimreef
A walking colony of Vampire Coral that stalks divers — slower than you, and killable.
Danger: VoragoSywren
A cuttlefish-like entity that traps you with hallucinations if you meet its gaze.
Danger: VoragoLife Line
A mimic diver in a torn test suit that talks to you before it strikes.
Danger: VoragoThe Choir
A nine-ton anchor-shaped creature that sings. If you hear singing — run.
Danger: VoragoCrownspine
A blind, armoured predator that hunts by movement. Crouch, stay quiet, stay still.
Danger: Unknown
Undocumented threat
The Crabs
Giant hermit-crab-like defenders — radar name Scuttlergoliaths. P.L.O.P does nothing to them.
Undocumented threat · unverifiedBalor
A whispering, decayed giant that only retreats when you turn and stare at it.
Undocumented threat · unverifiedHoles
Cave entrances in the seafloor. Linger at one and an adult Crownspine will end you.
The 15 log entries come from the in-game monster log text (community transcription). The undocumented threats are community-observed — the developer publishes no official creature list. Learn the survival rules in the survival guide, or see where each entity appears on every dive site.
