Crash Plateau
Dive site · Deep
Overview
Crash Plateau is a real dive site in the Gulf of Mexico, one step deeper than the training area and the clearest match for the official "crash sites" description. Red-tinted sand is strewn with scrap, tanks, rebar and large pieces of ships, with patches of tall seaweed between the pipelines. The creatures are hungrier here — the hook-shaped drifters called The Hooks hang over the wreck field, and the coral-stalking Grimreef patrols the seabed. This is also where the Mysterious Log rests, the collectible behind the "We lost a hero that day." badge.
