Brineglass
Danger: Minimal
Overview
Brineglass is a collective bacterial organism found across mineral-rich regions of the seafloor. As it feeds it secretes a translucent crystalline shell, and large colonies come to resemble thick sheets of circular ice. It is not aggressive — the danger is its zero-traction surface, which can slide you straight into pits or toward something bigger. Swim or use utilities to escape a slick patch.
