The Hooks

Overview

The Hooks resemble oversized fishing hooks suspended from long thin lines, drifting slowly and repositioning themselves with no visible means of propulsion. Once a diver moves within range, a Hook drifts over and tries to pierce them; its line then retracts at extreme speed, dragging the victim toward the surface. Most die from decompression injuries before reaching it. Never travel directly beneath one — and if caught, twist and kick to tear loose.
