Confirmed species — Official in-game monster log (community transcription)
Crownspine
Danger: Vorago
Overview
The Crownspine is a biological turbine of layered armour plates and goethite teeth, with poor eyesight and limited hearing: it detects prey almost entirely through spines that sense movement and disturbances in the water. Its low grumble is your warning — when you hear it, move slowly or halt entirely. Crouching past one or letting it swim by works; walking, running and jumping send it searching. Mining sounds, curiously, do not affect it. Adults several times larger lurk inside the Holes.
