The Flats

Overview
The Flats is the training site in the Gulf of Mexico. You're lowered roughly 200 metres to the seabed in a diving bell, learn to ride the currents, and first destroy a Sanguinite vein growing on a pipeline. It's also where you first meet one of the deep-sea predators and learn the card rule: if you can see it, move slowly and crouch.
